OUR 2023 CHARITY
STAY TUNED FOR INFO ON WHO WE WILL BE DONATING TO THIS CONCERT SEASON!
Wit You Against Childhood Cancer provides social, financial, and nutritional support to local families battling childhood cancer. Founded in Philadelphia, Wit You serves as a support system to ensure that no family is alone in their cancer journey. We are Wit You!
Wit You provides support in three ways:
- 1 -
Direct financial support to families - a childhood cancer diagnosis is equivalent to a 25% pay reduction for the family.
- 2 -
Ground level nutritional access and education to optimize clinical outcomes - 94% of patients and 61% of parents report a poor diet during crucial times in the childhood cancer journey.
- 3 -
Community building and awareness campaigning through our Wit You Rally and Ride weekend (Sept 22-23, 2023).
Some specific examples of their efforts:
- 1 -
Monthly bill pay for over a dozen local families.
- 2 -
Provided transport and lodging for a family seeking access to a clinical trial that was not covered by insurance.
- 3 -
Providing access to healthy, on-the-go nutrition to families staying on the oncology floor at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia through our relationship with Ronald McDonald House Philadelphia.
- 4 -
Collaborating with CHOP Culinary Medicine to conduct a pilot study on the impact of nutrition on childhood cancer outcomes.
5. Delivering information and at-home nutritional support through monthly grocery/snack deliveries.
